Construction & Infrastructure
Insurance programmes for main contractors, subcontractors, and project owners building homes, towers, roads, and utilities.
Construction contracts set out exactly who must insure what. Getting it wrong can leave a contractor paying for losses out of pocket.
Most construction contracts require the contractor or the employer to insure the works, third-party liability, and the workforce for the full contract period, often with the other parties named as joint insureds.
We read the insurance clauses in your contract, arrange cover that satisfies them, and issue the certificates the employer and consultant will ask for before you mobilise.
The policies most projects need.
Contractors' all risks
Physical loss or damage to the permanent and temporary works, materials on site, and often existing structures.
Third-party liability
Injury to the public and damage to neighbouring property arising from the works.
Workmen's compensation
Employer obligations under UAE labour law for workers injured on site.
Contractors' plant and machinery
Cranes, excavators, and equipment against damage and theft, on and off site.
Professional indemnity
For design-and-build contractors and consultants against claims of design errors.
Erection all risks
For the installation of plant and machinery, including testing and commissioning.

Insurance from tender to handover.
- 01
Tender
We review the contract's insurance requirements and give you cover costs to include in your price.
- 02
Award and mobilisation
Cover is placed for the contract value and period, and certificates are issued to the employer.
- 03
During construction
We adjust cover for variations, extensions of time, and changes in contract value.
- 04
Maintenance period
Cover continues for the defects liability period as the contract requires.
Who should arrange the contractors' all risks policy?
The contract decides. Some contracts require the contractor to insure; others have the employer arrange a project-wide policy. We check your contract first.
Does the policy cover delays?
Standard contractors' all risks policies cover physical damage, not delay. Delay in start-up cover can be added for the employer's lost revenue.
Are subcontractors covered?
They can be named on a project policy, or required to hold their own cover. The contract usually specifies which.
