Motor cover for cars, motorcycles, and fleets

Vehicle Insurance

From the legally required third-party policy to full comprehensive cover, we help you insure every vehicle on the road with the right level of protection.

On the road

Every vehicle in the UAE needs valid insurance to be registered or renewed. The question is how much protection you want beyond the minimum.

Third-party liability cover is the legal minimum. It pays for injury to other people and damage to their property, but nothing for your own vehicle. Comprehensive cover adds protection for your car against accidents, fire, theft, and natural events.

For newer cars, financed vehicles, and anyone who relies on their car every day, comprehensive cover is usually the sensible choice. Lenders normally require it for the length of a car loan.

After an accident

What to do at the scene and afterwards.

Following these steps keeps you safe and makes your claim straightforward.

At the scene

  • Make sure everyone is safe and call 999 if anyone is hurt
  • Move the vehicles out of traffic if it is safe to do so
  • Report the accident to the police or through the official app
  • Photograph the vehicles, number plates, and the location

Within a few days

  • Obtain the police report for the accident
  • Notify your insurer and register the claim
  • Keep copies of your licence and vehicle registration
  • Do not authorise repairs before the insurer's approval

During the claim

  • Take the vehicle for inspection when asked
  • Agree the repair garage with your insurer
  • Pay any excess due under the policy
  • Collect the repaired vehicle and keep the invoice

What is an excess?

The first part of any own-damage claim that you pay yourself. Choosing a higher excess usually lowers your premium.

Does my policy cover other drivers?

Most policies cover anyone driving with your permission who holds a valid licence, but some apply age or experience restrictions. Check the driver conditions in your schedule.

What affects my premium?

The vehicle's value, make, and age, the driver's age and claims history, how the car is used, and the level of cover and excess you choose.

What is a no-claims discount?

A reduction in premium for each year you hold cover without making a claim. Bring proof of your claims history from your previous insurer.

Can I insure a company fleet?

Yes. A fleet policy covers all company vehicles under one contract, with vehicles added or removed as your fleet changes.
